Our Foundation

From Grassroots to Community-Wide Impact

When Ghifari began in January 2017, it wasn't an organisation. It was simply a few neighbours who believed no family should have to struggle alone.

We started by delivering groceries to families in need. Along the way, we witnessed moments that reminded us why we kept going: a parent no longer choosing between rent and food, a child walking into school with a proper school bag, and communities coming together through our car boot sales to support one another.

Those experiences taught us an important lesson. Groceries and school bags meet immediate needs, but lasting change comes from something deeper: mentorship, opportunity, and a community that continues to stand beside families. Our goal has never been to provide temporary relief. It has always been to help people regain stability and independence.

Today, we're taking the next step by formalising Ghifari as a Company Limited by Guarantee. This strengthens our governance, accountability, and ability to serve the families, donors, volunteers, and partners who have placed their trust in us.

Our vision remains unchanged: a Singapore where no one is left behind. We don't just lend a helping hand. We walk alongside people until they're ready to move forward on their own.
